PROFILE: Type of Undergrad: B.A. in Economics, Math minor from top 20 liberal arts college, top 5 in economics Undergrad GPA: 3.58/4 GRE: 800Q, 560V, 4.5AWA Math Courses: Calculus I-II (A, B+), Probability (B-), Statistics (A), Linear Algebra (B) Econ Courses (undergrad-level): Skipped intros, Micro Theory (B+), Macro Theory (A-), Econ Stats (A), Intl Trade (A), Immigration (A), Monetary Policy (A), Game Theory (B+), Econometrics (B), Advanced Macro (A-) Letters of Recommendation: 3 econ professors (1 Brown PhD- thesis advisor and Fed Challenge coach for two years and should be very good, 1 Wisconsin PhD- did research together, should be very good, 1 Michigan PhD- should be good) Research Experience: Tons. Several original research papers on immigration, monetary policy, exchange rate regimes, none published though. Research assistant for 4 years during college. Teaching Experience: Language teacher for 4 years during college, TA for almost all economics classes. Research Interests: Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy Statement of purpose: Should be good.
